Take A Breath…

Take a breath. And another. And one more. With each inhale, breathe in a positive thought. With each exhale, let go of any tensions that have been building up over the past while. Keep breathing. Feel the air moving in and out as you take a moment for yourself. Taking time to pause and breathe is one way of creating just a little time between stimulus and response. Perhaps you are in a tense meeting. You want to push back at something. Before you do, consider taking a breath. That five-second inhale might be the difference between saying something you cannot take back and a measured thought that brings some calmness to the space.
