Education is at the core of our Band and Orchestra Camp Reimagined programs. Created in 2017 as the brainchild of master educators John Seaton and Dr. Charles A. Maguire, this student-centric camp implements the most innovative and modern music training techniques found today. Open to any student who has completed at least one year of band or orchestra, the innovative masterclasses and performances of camp cultivate in each member a sense of responsibility, commitment, self-discipline, confidence, and poise—critical ingredients for success in any field. Our high standards of artistry foster a more musical and empathetic world as our students return home to their respective programs as beacons of change.

Welcome to the Calgary Alberta International Band Festival - "Where young Albertans learn to play, and play to learn." We're excited to announce that 2025 will be our 54th year!
The Alberta International Band Festivals (Northern Alberta and Southern Alberta) are run by volunteers.
The festival is a charitable organization dedicated to providing a performance platform for junior high/middle school, high school, and community bands. The Festivals are held each year in Calgary and Edmonton. Organizers are committed to providing participants with a valuable and stimulating educational experience in a non-competitive atmosphere as either a concert band or a jazz ensemble.

ASU Wind Bands celebrate the 60th anniversary of ASU Gammage (formerly known as Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium) and the 1964 College Band Directors National Association National Conference that was held in the then two-month-old building. The evening will feature music from the conference and spend time honoring Frank Lloyd Wright and his love of music.

Do you struggle with staying on task? Is it difficult to stay present with what is happening in the moment? Using seemingly simple breathing and mindfulness exercises, we will explore ways of increasing our attention span, bring awareness to things that distract us, and discuss ways to sift through the overwhelming amount of data that is thrown at us every single minute.

Each November, the Rockies come alive with the sound of music, as concert and jazz band members strike up the bands! The Vic Lewis International Band Festival is a three-day, non-competitive event for junior high and high school bands, who arrive in Canmore for a weekend of learning, with instruction delivered by an international faculty of top-tier professional musicians and educators.
